Let us take you to the other side of Hawaii that you possibly are not aware of - where their only option is to live on the beach because of the high cost of living. There is a high rate of drug addiction among adults as well as youth. Many live on sectioned homestead land where they have to be 50% or more Hawaiian ethnic background to live. The people are similar to Native Indians who live on reservations.

Weekly Report

June 19, 2009

Dear Friends,

We will be in the state of Texas the whole month of June. The weather has been hot, and all winter clothes have been stored away, We've attended two preachers meetings in TX and scheduled two new churches to present our work in this month. We continually stay busy while waiting for the several promises of support to begin.

Praise the Lord!

God is answering the vision of Kahikolu Baptist Church for their Puppet Ministry! They have hopes through this ministry to train youth and get them involved and busy about the Lord's work - being used by Him. We now have the means to purchase the entire Family of 5 , large puppets, a four-man puppet stage, and a couple of blacklight puppets. We are so thankful for the people who have responded in the purchasing of the informational coloring books of our field to help make this possible. Rubi is extremely excited about this answer to a long awaited prayer!

Prayers Needed

The work in the Islands continues to carry on, with increases in attendance. We praise the Lord for the Rehkempers who are holding the fort and doing good work. Please pray the Lord to bless their efforts. !
Continue praying for our increase in support and ministry needs. We are trying to raise money for a generator and a trailer to haul our portable puppet stage, puppets, speakers and stands, large outside tent , sound system and chairs. We praise the Lord for the coloring book donations that goes to all these needs. Amen!
