Let us take you to the other side of Hawaii that you possibly are not aware of - where their only option is to live on the beach because of the high cost of living. There is a high rate of drug addiction among adults as well as youth. Many live on sectioned homestead land where they have to be 50% or more Hawaiian ethnic background to live. The people are similar to Native Indians who live on reservations.

Weekly Report

Dear Friends,

In 1 Peter 1:7, it says, "That the trial of your faith being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ."  We've been going through some illness and are saying wow! Okay...God's grace, we are recovering, and are excited to push forward seeking the support so needed to get back to the field.
Yes, we had a small set back, and my wife was so saddened and began to weep over the illness that was sent our way. We just called on the Lord and embraced each other and replaced our whole armor of God, and we're trusting He is in control and knows our hearts and needs. Amen!

Prayers

We are so very grateful to the many people who prayed for Rubi, and went beyond by spreading this prayer by phone, email, and every way possible so that she could be well enough to be able to be used of the Lord and also to receive such a blessing by being at Maranatha Baptist Church at Killeen, TX, LADIES 2009 CONFERENCE (Consider The Lilies). She was so amazed at the stamina the Lord allowed her to have. Although it took a toll the last day, she rested in the office before closing the conference. She truly was blessed not only to give but to be on the receiving end. Praise God!
Please continue to pray for her full recovery, and that the churches that we have attended will share our burden and make us part of their missionary family. Our people are calling for us to hurry back. Amen!

Praise the Lord!

Rubi is resting now - as she was suppose to be doing. We are going to being driving, driving, driving soon, with our strength for the Lord and for each other regenerated. Amen!
We want to thank you all for the financial support, and to let you know that because of the illness, our medical expenses are becoming a burden again. But the Lord knows, and we pray for His blessings and provision.

God Bless you folks
