Let us take you to the other side of Hawaii that you possibly are not aware of - where their only option is to live on the beach because of the high cost of living. There is a high rate of drug addiction among adults as well as youth. Many live on sectioned homestead land where they have to be 50% or more Hawaiian ethnic background to live. The people are similar to Native Indians who live on reservations.

Weekly Report

June 3, 2008

Dear Friends,

What fun! When we were on our field, we spent our time running away from or keeping ahead of the geckos, centipedes and flying cockaroaches with the wing-span of a 747 plane (hee-hee) and once in a while a hurricane. Since we've been back on this side of the world, we are kept busy tracking where the next tornado is coming from. Lord, keep us missionaries safe on these roads. Amen!

Updates

We are on our way to Oklahoma, Florida, & South Dakota. My wife and I have been asked to minister in Indian Baptist Missions family camp (June 9-13), a family retreat in Lake Placid, FL (June 27-29) and the Annual Tribe Missions Conf. in SD (July 1-3). Please pray for God's blessings.

Praise News

Amen! With spending eight to ten hours a day on the phone, our scheduling book is filling up! God's people are seeing the island of Hawaii thru the eyes of our Lord - a needy field needing to be reached with the Gospel.

Special Needs And Prayer Requests

We are really needing help with our medical bills. If any can help, it would take a huge burden from us. Colonoscopy & upper GI ($357.44) - Dental nerve ($40.) - Ultra-Sound ($119.) - X-Ray ($112.) - VA medical ($122.23) Also, our furlough car loan ($7000.).

My sister, Iwa, is undergoing chemo. Please pray for her recovery.

Pray for Kahikolu Baptist Church and the Brother Rick Denham taking care of God's work in my absence, and for their growth.

Your co-laborers in Christ,
