Let us take you to the other side of Hawaii that you possibly are not aware of - where their only option is to live on the beach because of the high cost of living. There is a high rate of drug addiction among adults as well as youth. Many live on sectioned homestead land where they have to be 50% or more Hawaiian ethnic background to live. The people are similar to Native Indians who live on reservations.

Weekly Report December 17, 2008 Dear Friends, God never ceases to amaze us
- His goodness and faithfulness in His Word! We acknowledge to be
forever diligent in all we do, for His light to shine forth thru us.
Amen! We giggled with laughter as we saw big and small tumble weeds
rushing across the highways, darting at us as we tried to avoid the
attack, then dodging them to avoid running over them with our truck. We
finally realized that some we could run over, and others we could not .
The frost and snow came and we survived. The great wonders of this world
and our God made all of it! Previous Travels Our trip last month took us
thru mountains and lowlands - the peaks of snow and the melting away. We
were able to schedule around California so that we could spend the
Thanksgiving holiday with our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, and
that's not all. Also, our youngest daughter, what a blessed time we all
had together! The remainder of the month was
spent with a couple of new churches in California, which expressed the
desire to support us. Amen! We traveled thru New Mexico and Ignacio, CO,
and we are now on our way to Texas. Rubi's MRI was December 10.
Pray that all goes well, and her TN problem can be completely resolved.
We will post results in our January letter. Upcoming Dates: Jan 09 - OPEN - must be filled! |
