Let us take you to the other side of Hawaii that you possibly are not aware of - where their only option is to live on the beach because of the high cost of living. There is a high rate of drug addiction among adults as well as youth. Many live on sectioned homestead land where they have to be 50% or more Hawaiian ethnic background to live. The people are similar to Native Indians who live on reservations.

Weekly Report

December 17, 2008

Dear Friends,

God never ceases to amaze us - His goodness and faithfulness in His Word! We acknowledge to be forever diligent in all we do, for His light to shine forth thru us. Amen! We giggled with laughter as we saw big and small tumble weeds rushing across the highways, darting at us as we tried to avoid the attack, then dodging them to avoid running over them with our truck. We finally realized that some we could run over, and others we could not . The frost and snow came and we survived. The great wonders of this world and our God made all of it!
We have posted our DVD Field Presentation on our website and also a few of our CD music. You can access these from our home page.

Previous Travels

Our trip last month took us thru mountains and lowlands - the peaks of snow and the melting away. We were able to schedule around California so that we could spend the Thanksgiving holiday with our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, and that's not all. Also, our youngest daughter, what a blessed time we all had together!     The remainder of the month was spent with a couple of new churches in California, which expressed the desire to support us. Amen! We traveled thru New Mexico and Ignacio, CO, and we are now on our way to Texas.

Praise News

Rubi continues with no pain if she stays on the medication. All churches we were with in California promised support and one in Shiprock, AZ, voted on the spot to support us - Maranatha BC of Red Valley on The Navajo Reservation. What a ministry our son has on Skid Row in California. I was able to preach on a corner, and my wife and I shared our testimony and sang as homeless people gathered all around from every direction. What a sight! They all needed to hear the Gospel as well. I was approached by one of the homeless who asked, "What more can I do here to help?" I said, "Be a witness, show God's love." Pray for our son, Keoki, and for the other men that work out there too - Our son, Mercy & Cue are founders of that ministry, and started the Hope Mission, which supplies hot meals each Friday.

Special Needs And Prayer Requests

Rubi's MRI was December 10. Pray that all goes well, and her TN problem can be completely resolved. We will post results in our January letter.
We need new church contacts. The year 2009 must be filled. The next couple of months aren't easy to schedule. Also, Our laptop is not doing well at all. The model is a dinosaur now, so we are in great need of a newer model to keep up with our letters.

Pray for Kahikolu Baptist Church as they are awaiting our return. Pastor Denhan wife is very ill, pray for her recovery. Bro. Denhan is upholding the work.
